Nambé Tilt Decanter Set with 2 Double Old-Fashioned Glasses Specifications
When life becomes too serious, bring out the Tilt collection. Each tumbler, glass, or decanter leans playfully, some might say perilously, sideways; but gravity is no match for the thick, heavy bases that keep these works of art upright. An excellent gift for the connoisseur of fine bourbons and other spirits, this set contains a Tilt decanter and two 10-ounce, double old-fashioned glasses. Each piece is crafted by skilled European artisans of full-lead crystal, and is quite elegant despite its playful quality; the wildly slanted base flows seamlessly into the rounded sides, which rise to a level rim. Also slanted, the frosted stopper fits snugly in the decanter top for preserving fine spirits, and brings the decanter to a height of 11 inches. The Tilt set is boxed for giving, and is best washed by hand to preserve the brilliance of the crystal.
Nambé was founded in 1951 in a village of the same name in scenic northern New Mexico. From the beginning, the company focused on hand-producing high-quality, functional items such as sand-cast metal bowls and trays with great attention to timeless, modern design. Porcelain tableware also now joins Nambé crystal and metal lines, all of which make exceptional gifts for the most special of occasions. Nambé ware has won numerous design awards, has been shown in or recognized by nearly two dozen museums worldwide, and is part of the permanent collections of many, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. --Ann Bieri
